ACCIONAR, The Teenage Protection Network Hub from Latin America is the Red Regional de Acción Preventiva para la Adolescencia y la Juventud, a coalition of 13 organizations from 12 countries across Latin America and the Caribbean united by the conviction that education is the best prevention. The Network brings together organizations from Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Panama, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Paraguay, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, and Chile, pooling their field expertise to protect and empower adolescents through positive education.
A flagship initiative of the Network is 'En Serio', an innovative arts-based theatre program designed to prevent underage alcohol consumption. Since 2022, the Network has co-led 'En Serio' alongside Instituto Aliança and CAPLAB, reaching over 3 million students across 12 countries with more than 70% positive outcomes. Through knowledge sharing, joint action, and cross-sector collaboration between civil society, the arts, education, government, and the private sector, the Teenage Protection Network works to influence public policies in favor of youth wellbeing and to integrate prevention strategies into educational systems across the region.
