ADVOCACY & RESOURCE MOBILISATION PROJECTS
ITAC proudly co-hosts the "Why Change?" podcast, a platform dedicated to elevating the voices of Teaching Artists who harness the transformative power of the arts to drive social change. By bringing their often underrepresented stories to the forefront, we illuminate the vital role of Teaching Artists in shaping a more equitable and vibrant society.
EDEN Engagement
Workshops
ITAC partnered with mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato to explore and advocate for the integration of Teaching Artistry into fine arts touring models, to deliver social impact. Together, we designed and delivered community engagement projects in every city of the EDEN tour, connecting the performance's message to relevant local issues. Through this collaboration, we aim to encourage future arts tours to consider community engagement as a central component of their work.
After the success of the first year of "ITAC IMPACT: Climate", we developed a set of case studies that outline the practices and techniques our commissioned artists used to deliver their work. We hope to share these widely with activists, funders, and those interested in mobilizing communities. These case studies help illustrate what Teaching Artists actually do and why their practice is effective, as this is often misunderstood.
