The EDEN Engagement initiative in Taiwan showcased how music can unite communities to tackle pressing environmental challenges. Over 13 weeks, 60 students from Hou-Zhuang and Ren-Wu Elementary Schools explored air and water pollution through creative workshops blending vocal techniques, environmental awareness, and improvisation. With no prior music training, the children developed confidence, harmonizing their voices while deepening their understanding of local issues. The culminating performance at the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts resonated with hope and urgency, proving that art has the power to inspire action and bridge communities. Rooted in Taiwan’s environmental priorities, this program left a lasting impact on its young participants.
