Deliver training for new or emerging Teaching Artists
ITAC utilises our online Teaching Artistry for Social Impact course, as a basis to design bespoke training for institutions and practitioners.
As Teaching Artistry/ Participatory Arts/ Community Arts/ Socially-engaged Arts emerge as a more recognised sector internationally, we are often asked by institutions if we provide training for students. With this in mind, ITAC is exploring the ways in which we can draw from this course, to provide bespoke, context-specific and level appropriate modules for universities and training spaces.
Example Case Study: Teaching Artistry for Social Impact - The Course
In 2022, ITAC launched its first free online course, Teaching Artistry for Social Impact. This resource has been designed, using the wisdom and expertise from practitioners within our network, to guide Artists (or those with an interest in community engagement) through the process of designing their arts-based project in a way which is ethical, structured and is likely to help maximise their impact. To date more than 300 people have taken this course. With this framework and curriculum in place, we are now able to work with institutions to create bespoke, context-specific trainings for Teaching Artists (or emerging practitioners) in their areas.
Work with ITAC to train the next generation of social-impact makers!
In partnership with institutions who are looking to develop Teaching Artist training in their area, we are now able to provide a tailor made curriculum, an adjunct professor to guide the learning process, and resources, to maximise the student's experience of the course. If your institution would like to invest in offering/developing these services alongside ITAC, please do get in touch.
